Welcome to Season 31. After all the excitement of our gala 30th anniversary season, it was a challenge to plan a repertory that wouldn’t be viewed as an anticlimax. I hope that come next April all will agree that didn’t happen. Of course, we eagerly anticipate our joint work with those two acclaimed partner ensembles, the Winston-Salem Children’s Chorus and the Bel Canto Company. We also relish tackling the theatricality of King David, not heard locally for many years, preceding it with lovely pieces, both sacred and secular, that should interest far more than the local Jewish community. Also, we take delight in being able to offer works never heard locally by the likes of Abbie Betinis and Ruth Watson Henderson. And who would not feel privileged to collaborate with instrumentalists of the caliber of Anita Cirba, Joe Pecoraro and members of the Carolina Chamber Symphony? Please come and join us.
